I remem...The funny thing is the Santa Clause part. I remember that incident. It happened at St. Mike's Catholic and it was after you left. I know this because I was an alter boy that Christmas Eve. Santa was played by a young deputy that later (and is still) the Defiance County Sheriff, David Westrick. They did not throw him out, they just barred him from coming in the church, back by the sacristy. The worst they really did was play keep away with his hat. Actually, I take that back: the real harm was that Dave was there to play Santa so he could talk about Jesus and the real meaning of Christmas. That's what the kids needed.
