I represent the first generation who, when we were born, the television was now a permanent fixture in our homes. When I was born people had breakfast with Barbara Walters, dinner with Walter Cronkite, and slept with Johnny Carson.

When I was in high school, the old "Late Night with David Letterman" was a beacon of joy in my life. Calvert, or as I will always remember him, Larry "Bud" Melman was a huge part of the off beat wackiness that made the old NBC show so revolutionary.... He will be missed, but never forgotten....
