First hour: Ed welcomes Anne Serling, author of AS I KNEW HIM: My Dad, Rod Serling, an intimate look at the life of the innovative television writer/producer. Anne discusses how devastated she was at the sudden death of her father, and how she was able to overcome her grief, partly with the help of The Twilight Zone. (This interview was originally broadcast in May 2013.) Also in this hour: Tony Figueroa and Donna Allen remember the premiere of The Lawrence Welk Show and how Welk successfully continued to broadcast the series after it was cancelled by ABC. 
Second hour: Part 2 of our conversation with Robert Crane, co-author of CRANE: Sex, Celebrity and My Father’s Unsolved Murder, a memoir of growing up with Bob Crane as a father before, during and after Hogan’s Heroes. Among other topics, this hour discusses Bob’s participation in the movie Auto Focus, as well as the years in which he worked with, and became good friends with, comedian John Candy.
