Merv Griffin July 6, 1925 – August 12, 2007
The Merv Griffin Show ran from 1962 to 1986. Mr. Griffin created Jeopardy in 1964 and Wheel of Fortune in 1975. The first quote I thought for Mr. Griffin was, "Ohoooo", but instead I wanted something that exemplified his philosophy as a talk show host.
To quote Merv Griffin "If the host is sitting there thinking about his next joke, he isn't listening.
