Show No. 215 with guests Sue Kesler, Jude Bradley and Bob Herron
Original Airdate: Week of Jan. 1-7, 2014
First hour: Sue Kesler, Jude Bradley and Bob Herron join Ed for a special 90-minute conversation that includes Part 2 of our tribute to The Wild, Wild West,
plus a continuation of our look of Bob’s 60-year career as a film and
TV stuntman. Sue and Jude are the author and editor, respectively, of The Wild, Wild West: The Series,
the definitive guide to the classic TV series starring Robert Conrad
and Ross Martin, while Bob was Ross Martin’s stunt double for almost the
entire run of the show. Topics include the casting of Michael Dunn as
Dr. Miguelito Loveless, the close working relationship between Robert
Conrad and the show’s regular stuntmen, what Sue considers to be the
quintessential episode of The Wild, Wild West, and the most dangerous and most memorable stunts that Bob has performed for film or television.
Second hour: Greg Ehrbar with a look at the broadcast histories of That Girl and The Doris Day Show.
