We’ll mark the 30th anniversary of the release of E.T. The Extraterrestrial with an encore presentation of our conversation with the star of E.T., Dee Wallace. Dee’s book, Bright Light: Spiritual Lessons from a Life in Acting, shares some of the lessons she’s learned throughout her journey as an actress and teacher, including great stories about her work in such films as Cujo, The Howling, 10 and E.T., as well as such TV shows as Streets of San Francisco, Lou Grant, Hart to Hart, CHiPs, Saving Grace and Ghost Whisperer. Our conversation with Dee Wallace will air in our first hour.
Then, in our second hour, we’ll replay our conversation with James Chrisite about iconic film and television director Richard Donner. James’ book, You’re The Director: You Figure It Out, not only takes you behind the scenes of such movies as The Omen, Superman and the Lethal Weapon series, but looks at Donner’s career in television ― and, particularly, how his work on such shows as The Twilight Zone, Get Smart, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and The Wild, Wild West helped shape many of Donner’s sensibilities as a motion picture director.
