First hour: Phil Gries with the final segment of our tribute to Jack Paar, featuring audio highlights from Paar's final night as host of The Tonight Show (Mar. 29, 1962), plus an appearance with Bob Newhart. Also in this hour: Tony Figueroa and Donna Allen remember the birthday of Hal Roach and the legacy of The Little Rascals as part of This Week in History. Second hour: Ed welcomes actor and author Kevin Sorbo (Hercules: the Legendary Journeys, Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda). Kevin's book, True Strength, reveals the details of his debilitating illness of 1997, and the long road to recovery that required him to make significant changes in his life — physically, mentally and spiritually. Kevin Sorbo will be appearing at the Boston Super Megafest in Framingham, MA on Nov. 17 and 18; the Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con on Nov. 30, Dec. 1-2 in New Orleans; and at the Action Martial Arts Mega Weekend in Atlantic City on Jan. 25 and 26, 2013. Also in this hour: Tony Figueroa and Donna Allen discuss the Writers Guild strike of 2007.
