Sept. 29 was the 100^th anniversary of the birth of legendary producer/director Stanley Kramer. We’ll mark that occasion in our second hour by replaying our January 2013 conversation with Stanley’s widow, Karen Sharpe Kramer.

We’ll discuss Stanley’s impact in the world of motion pictures, as well as Karen’s own career in film and television, which included a Golden Globe Award for her performance in The High and the Mighty, as well as appearances in such films and TV series as Man with a Gun, The Disorderly Orderly, Johnny Ringo, I Dream of Jeannie, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, The Man from UNCLE, 77 Sunset Strip and The Wild, Wild West.


And speaking of milestone birthdays, we mentioned on last week’s program that this past Sept. 19 marked the 85^th birthday of actor Adam West. And with that in mind, we will talk about Adam West, not to mention Batman, during our first hour as we play highlights from our September 2011 conversation with the Catwoman herself, Julie Newmar.

Also in our first hour: We’ll celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the premiere of The Fugitive (Sept. 17, 1963) by playing excerpts from our interviews with some of the actors who have worked with David Janssen, including our January 2012 conversation with Jacqueline Scott, plus a few surprises.
