The host of American Top 40 for nearly four decades, Casey Kasem was a fixture on radio who also left his mark on television, most notably as the voice of Shaggy on Scooby-Doo, Where are You? and as the voice of Robin the Boy Wonder on The Adventures of Batman in 1968, and throughout the 1970s on Super Friends.

We’ll pay tribute to Casey Kasem along with Wesley Hyatt, pop culture critic and the author of such books as The Encyclopedia of Daytime TelevisionTelevision’s Top 100 and The Billboard Book of No. 1 Adult Contemporary Hits. Wes also worked in the music industry, particularly with Harry Casey, the man behind KC and the Sunshine Band, plus he crossed paths briefly with Casey Kasem on one occasion. Wesley Hyatt will join us in our first hour.

Also joining us this week will be Robert Matzen, author of such books asErrol Flynn Slept Here and Errol & Olivia: Ego and Obsession in Golden Era Hollywood. Robert’s latest book, Fireball: Carole Lombard and The Mystery of Flight 3, is a fresh look at the life of Carole Lombard, the legendary Queen of Screwball Comedies who died tragically in a plane crash near Las Vegas on January 16, 1942. Robert’s book not only explores the life of Lombard, but the lives of the 21 other passengers aboard that light and the lives of those they behind, including Carole Lombard’s husband at the time, film icon Clark Gable.

Plus: Tony Figueroa and Donna Allen with a brand new This Week in TV History.
