I represent the first generation who, when we were born, the television was now a permanent fixture in our homes. When I was born people had breakfast with Barbara Walters, dinner with Walter Cronkite, and slept with Johnny Carson.

First hour: Ed welcomes nationally known stand-up comedian, best-selling author, radio host and playwrightBrian Copeland. Brian is the host of Now Brian Copeland, a talk show special that will premiere on NBC stations in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego on Saturday, Jan. 3 (following coverage of the second NFL Wild Card game), with additional airings in other California markets throughout January and February (check your local listings for more details). Brian’s critically acclaimed one-man show The Waiting Period will return to The Marsh Theatre in San Francisco from Jan. 7 through Feb. 10. Also in this hour: An encore presentation of our roundtable discussion featuring Joanna Wilson on favorite Christmas episodes and holiday TV specials. Joanna is the author of The Christmas TV Companion and Tis the Season TV: The Encyclopedia of Christmas-Themed Episodes, Specials and Made for TV Movies.
