Carl Amari is the founder of Radio Spirits, the world’s largest marketer and distributor of classic radio programs. Carl has licensed more than 60,000 original radio programs from the estates of the creators, one of which is the Twilight Zone Radio Dramas, a series of fully dramatized radio plays hosted by Stacy Keach, and which are adapted from episodes of the classic TV series created by Rod Serling. Actors who have appeared in the Twilight Zone Radio Dramas include Kathy Garver, Lou Diamond Phillips, Shelley Berman and Jason Alexander. We’ll ask Carl about some of the challenges in adapting the TV scripts for Twilight Zone for radio when he joins us in our second hour.

Carl Amari also hosts Hollywood 360, a weekly showcase of such classic radio shows as The Shadow, Jack Benny, Dragnet, Suspense and Fibber McGee & Molly that also features interviews with actors, directors, writers and producers in the world of entertainment. For more information, go to Hollywood360Radio.com.

This week’s show will also include Part 3 of our tribute to Joey Bishop as part of The Sounds of Lost Television. Plus we’ll meet Kevin Glynn, author of Tyrannosaurus Sex, a coming of age novel set up in the 1970s. Some have described Tyrannosaurus Sex as a mash-up between The Big Chill and American Pie, while others say it’s like 50 Shades of Grey, “but from a male perspective.” We’ll find out what all the fuss is about when Kevin Glynn joins us in our first hour.
