Mark Silverman will join us in our second hour as we continue our look at how television has covered this year’s presidential campaign, including the first presidential debate, the vice-presidential debate, the two political conventions, and the “Rumble Inside the Air-Conditioned Auditorium” between Jon Stewart and Bill O’Reilly. Mark Silverman, of course, hosts On the Mark Radio, a weekly talk show on politics and issues of the day that is heard on our affiliate station, KSAV.org.

Our first hour of this week’s show will feature Part 3 of our special tribute to Jack Paar as part of the Sounds of Lost Television. In keeping with the overall theme of this week’s program, Phil Gries will include highlights of Jack Paar’s interviews from the summer of 1960 with then-Presidential candidates John F. Kennedy and Richard M. Nixon.
