Gabrielle Stone will join us in our first hour. The daughter of legendary scream queen Dee Wallace (E.T., The Howling, Cujo) and the late television actor Christopher Stone, Gabrielle has a couple of movies on the horizon, including the critically acclaimed horror movie Speak No Evil.

Also joining in our first hour will be Mark Dawidziak, television critic for the Cleveland Plain-Dealer, as we remember the career of Richard Matheson. An established novelist and writer of short stories before he entered television, Matheson wrote some of the most famous episodes of The Twilight Zone, including “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet”; “The Enemy Within,” one of the most famous episodes of Star Trek; and some of the best made-for-TV movies ever made, including Duel, The Morning After and the original Night Stalker. Mark Dawidziak not only covered Matheson’s career in television, but also edited three collections of the works of Richard Matheson, all of which are available through Gauntlet Press.

Also joining us this week will be David Hofstede, author of several books on classic television, including Obsessed with TV, The Charlie’s Angels Casebook, and What Were They Thinking? The 100 Dumbest Events in Television History. David also publishes Comfort TV, an excellent blog about your favorite shows from the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. David recently published an article on Comfort TV that offers an interesting (and tongue-in-cheek) take on such shows as The Andy Griffith Show, I Dream of Jeannie, and Three’s Company through the eyes of political correctness. We’ll talk about that, and more, during our second hour.
