One of television’s most durable actresses, June Lockhart is best known for playing Ruth Martin on Lassie, Dr. Janet Craig on Petticoat Junction, Maria Ramirez on General Hospitaland, of course, Maureen Robinson on Lost in Space. While all of those roles are famous, they represent just a few chapters in a long career in stage, film and TV that has seen June earn a Tony Award, an Emmy nomination, two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and many other honors, including the Exceptional Public Achievement Medal from NASA, which she received late last year for outstanding talent for inspiring the public about space exploration.

June Lockhart is also celebrating her 80^th year as a professional actress. She’ll be sharing a few memories with us when she joins us in our first hour.

And speaking of daytime television, June will be one of the presenters for the Creative Arts Emmy Awards on Friday, June 20. The Daytime Emmy Awards will be streamed online on Sunday, June 22. For more information, go towww.emmyonline.tv.

Joining us in our second hour will be actor/comedian Bill Daily. Known to TV viewers as Roger Healey on I Dream of Jeannie and Howard Borden on The Bob Newhart Show, Bill began his career in television in Chicago directing such shows asKukla, Fran and Ollie and Garroway at Large, and later worked with the likes of Steve Allen and Mike Douglas. We’ll talk to Bill about The Bob Newhart Show and other aspects of his career when he joins us in our second hour.

All six seasons of The Bob Newhart Show are now available as a DVD box set edition that includes audio commentaries, a gag reel, a forty-page essay by Emmy Award-winning writer Vince Waldron, and such extra features as “Group Therapy,” in which Bob Newhart sits down with Bill Daily, Peter Bonerz and Jack Riley to reminisce about The Bob Newhart Show. The Bob Newhart Show: Complete Series Box Set Edition is available now on DVD through Shout Factory.
