Once described as one of the grooviest people of the 1960s, Pamela Tiffin seemed destined for motion picture stardom after her stellar debuts opposite Geraldine Page and Laurence Harvey in Summer and Smoke (1961) and James Cagney in One, Two, Three (1961). However, despite her impressive turns in such later films as Come Fly with Me (1963), The Pleasure Seekers (1964) and Harper (1966), Tiffin’s acting career ended almost as quickly as began, partly because Hollywood filmmakers never knew what to do with her.

Tiffin’s career is the subject of Pamela Tiffin: Hollywood to Rome, 1961-1974, a new book by sixties film historian Tom Lisanti that not only provides a comprehensive look at her work in film and television, but includes insight from Tiffin herself (as well as such co-stars as Franco Nero), while also exploring the reasons why she remains a cult film icon. Tom Lisanti will join us at the end of our first hour.
