Recent events have led to a lot of pain and anguish in the Black community, and we must acknowledge and remember the names of those whose lives have been wrongfully stolen: Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Tamir Rice, Trayvon Martin, Sandra Bland, Eric Garner, Ahmaud Arbery and many, many more over the course of history in the U.S. These events have heightened the awareness and conversation on the systemic racism present in our current nation.
