Best known for playing Ernie Douglas on the long-running comedy series My Three Sons (ABC/CBS, 1960-1972), which was not only honored earlier this year in Hollywood but continues to thrive in reruns today on Me-TV, Barry Livingston has acted professionally on stage, screen and television since pretty much the day he was born. One of the few child actors who made the successful transition to grown-up actor, Barry has worked with such stars as Karl Malden, John Cassavetes, Myrna Loy, Steve Railsback, Forest Whitaker and Adam Sandler, while his recent TV appearances include episode of such shows as Mad Men, Desperate Housewives, Suburgatory and Major Crimes. But making that transition was not easy for Barry, and he talks about his struggles, and how he overcame them, in his book, The Importance of Being Ernie. Barry Livingston will be joining us in our second hour.

Joining us in our first hour will be author Anne Preciado Rich. Anne began her career working in radio and television, both in front of the microphone and behind the scenes, before transitioning into advertising, teaching, and eventually writing. Anne’s first novel, My 333rd Life on Planet Earth, is not only about past lives, but provides a cultural history of life on earth while also drawing on such influences as Robert Heinlein, Joseph Campbell, Richard Bach, Deepak Chopra and Mark Twain.

All this, plus a brand new edition of This Week in TV History.
