Many
of you know Kevin Sorbo from his starring roles in Hercules: the Legendary Journeys, the most-watched first-run syndicated TV show in the world throughout the 1990s, and as Captain Dylan Hunt in Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda throughout the early 2000s. Kevin had everything going for him in 1997 until one day, when he was just thirty-eight years old and in peak physical condition, he learned that he had an aneurysm in his left shoulder, had also suffered three strokes, and very nearly died. It was a freak occurrence that began a long road to recovery that would require Kevin to make significant changes in his life — physically, mentally and spiritually. It is all part of an amazing story that Kevin shares in his book, True Strength. Kevin Sorbo will join us in our second hour.

Kevin Sorbo will be appearing at the Boston Super Megafest in Framingham, MA on Nov. 17 and 18; the Wizard World New Orleans Comic Con on Nov. 30, Dec. 1-2 in New Orleans; and at the Action Martial Arts Mega Weekend in Atlantic City on Jan. 25 and 26, 2013.

Also this week: Phil Gries with the fifth and final segment in our month-long tribute to Jack Paar as part of the Sounds of Lost Television, and Tony Figueroa and Donna Allen with an expanded edition of This Week in TV History.
