First hour: Stephen Battaglio, business editor for TV Guide magazine, joins Ed, Tony and Donna for a look at The Michael J. Fox Show, Ironside, The Crazy Ones and some of the other new TV shows that were recently unveiled at the annual network upfronts.
Second hour: Joseph Dougherty and Dan Farren join Ed, Tony and Donna for a roundtable discussion on the made for TV movie — a staple of television for more than four decades (particularly during the era of The ABC Movie of the Week) that has all but disappeared from network TV in recent years. Plus: a look at some of the great Movies of the Week from the 1970s that have stayed with us for one reason or another, including The Night Stalker, Brian’s Song, Goodnight, My Love, A Short Walk to Daylight, Bad Ronald, Hey, I’m Alive, Women in Chains, Duel, Go Ask Alice, The Girl Most Likely to…, That Certain Summer, My Sweet Charlie and It Couldn’t Happen to a Nice Guy.
