With Johnny Carson back on television these days by way of Carson on TCM, our guests this week will include Charlie Barrett, longtime publicist for Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon. Charlie is founder of The Barrett Company, one of the top public relations and marketing communications firms in the entertainment industry, specializing in publicity for books, films and television series since 1992.

Prior to launching his own company, Charlie was one of the top publicists at NBC throughout the 1980s, where he was charge of media relations for such shows as The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Charlie will share some memories of working alongside Johnny and Ed when he joins us in our first hour.



Joining us in our second hour will be Sandra Lord, writer, producer, entrepreneur and a maverick in every sense of the word. Sandra knows that, when it comes to networking, it’s not just about “who you know,” but also about “who knows you.” Though that idea holds true in every industry, it’s especially true in the world of entertainment industry. That’s one of the reasons why Sandra created the Hollywood Networking Breakfast, a monthly networking studio event that marks its 20^th anniversary in August 2013. The Hollywood Networking Breakfast has provided attendees with access to such power brokers as Garry Marshall, John Singleton, David E. Kelley, Wes Craven, Stan Lee, and Henry Winkler, while also facilitating numerous collaborations and employment opportunities to both established and aspiring entertainment professionals.
